Communicate
There are 2 ways players can communicate with people to gain followers In Person and Online.
In Person – Better for gaining followers and quickly, this is more direct with the player as they’ll have to go out to ‘The City’ and talk to passing citizens and convince them. Although more successful players run the risk of getting arrested by the police or getting attacked by the secret organization.
Players can choose from a range of ways how they want to communicate, which they have to decide before heading to the city. They will be given a brief description of what’s going on in the city and it’ll be up to them to decide what is the best method to go with. Each method works well in their own way and their effectiveness depends on what position they’re at in the game. The methods are:
- Picketing - Good for beginners. As NPCs walk through the busy street speech marks will appear above their heads. The speech mark will be a certain colour and depending on the colour is the determines if they’ll become followers. Green = High Chance, White= 50/50 and Red = Low Chance. This event will last a few minutes long.
- Sit-ins - Similar concept to ‘Picketing’ but inside. Used to gain attention, gaining good attention will temporarily decrease cost of ads. Attention is determined by the percentage of seats taken in the store, the more seats the bigger the discount.
- Rallies/Rally - (Timed event) For high level players with a big following. Players bring followers with them to the city and in a stage like set up NPCs will come and watch. The players job hear is to stop people who joined from leaving until the timer runs out. Stop NPCs from leaving by clicking on them when they walk away.
